Get To Know Me

NEW LEADERSHIP TO DELIVER RESULTS FOR OUR COMMUNITY

My story is a simple story of determination, drive and discipline and doing ordinary things in an extraordinary way. I am a Niagara Falls, NY native. Raised by a single mom who "laid down the law", also including a brother who is immobile due to Cerebral Palsy, I come from a low-income family. To say I come from meager beginnings would still not quite convey the situation. I grew up in mostly subsidized housing. The home where I have almost all of my childhood memories was not sold, it's not in the possession of another relative, it is torn down. The whole section does not exist. It's weeds and wildlife who live there. I do not come from a connected background. My parents were not involved in public service, government, politics or even business. I excelled in academics and sports(track and football) and even band through work, study and God-given talents that I did not let go to waste. I have made choices and took actions based on achieving the dreams and goals that I had set for myself, ready to breakthrough any wall, overcome any obstacle to fulfill the vision.

After graduating high school in 2002, I immediately went to college, attending the Rochester Institute of Technology where I graduated 2007 (with honors) having a degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MMET). Like with most people who have pursued higher education, the college years were formative years-responsible for two life-changing events: the beginning of a spiritual foundation and being introduced to mentorship. The effects and legacies of these experiences cannot be exaggerated, overstated or described.

From there, I was just in the workaday world, working in my field as an engineer in the private sector, while simultaneously trying to pursue my aspirations to be a full-time business owner, volunteering at my local church, helping with the Youth Ministry. Just doing ordinary things in an extraordinary way.

And then in 2020, the COVID event that happened worldwide. But the effects in this country troubled me greatly with what I was seeing, especially with the next generation. And that was where it all began...the foray into advocating for the public, in addition to my full-time engineering career. In 2023, I earned an appointment on the Niagara Falls (USA) City Council. And have been going ever since....

I know the issues that are keeping Niagara Falls, NY well beneath it's potential. It is a travesty and it is unacceptable. I am here to lead the city back on the right track and to realize its world class potential.
